I went to Mercy‘s Keys to Freedom Retreat to be immersed in God’s presence. I’m in the midst of many transitions in my life and I just needed some direction. I wanted to meet God in different ways. I wanted to learn how to hear from him. The understanding was achieved that weekend through the worship music, the lessons, the sharing in the small groups and the quiet time. Also, becoming sisters with other women from around the world. I learned that he was speaking to me, but I just didn’t know how to hear him. I learned how to ask questions and listen for the answers. What are rewarding three days. I am walking through the power of his process.

Keys to freedom helped me see layers of pain that I didn’t realize I needed to give to God. I’ve been on the road to healing along time and thought I knew all my places of injury and trauma. I kept an open mind to what God wanted to show me at this time in my life. Areas were uncovered. God NEVER disappoints.
Sincerely,

I want to share what a blessing it was to attend the Keys to Freedom retreat. I did not realize how much I needed an encounter with God. He touched my heart in a way that allowed me to surrender all my hurts and disappointments to Him. At the same time, He spoke to me, and I finally had the time to truly listen. If you choose to attend, I believe He has great things in store for you as well.
Best regards,
Laurie Matthews
I am a “handmaiden of God”, and because of him,
I am a better daughter, I am a better sister, I am a great mother, I am a better nana, and I am a compassionate woman, I love who I am, and I love the life that God has destined for me to fulfilled and glorified my Lord & Savior.
God gave me the scripture of Isaiah 61 1-3, The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me. To preach good tiding to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord that he may be glorified.”
